how do i find drivers for a webcam with no brand?

Question

i bought a webcam off ebay the other day..got it today and there was no intallation cd with it, there is no band to the cam all i have is the link to my auction..

Both of those are 6 LED and the one you have looks like it's only got 4. You might want to check with Kinamax's support to see if that's an earlier version of one of the above and see if they have a driver for it.

The unfortunate thing is, you really need the installation disk as this will tell the hardware that you are adding new software. Without it, the wizard won't recognise it.

I would go out and buy a brand new one, preferably a prologic or one of those really good ones. Theyve got everything you need. If you need a driver Ive got one but I dont think you will have any problems if you go buy a new one..

Dont think that one you bought from ebay is much cop- get rid of it

1 ring their hotline

2 ask for the cd - it says the package should come with one - report to ebay as missing parts - mis-representation

3 plug into windows and let it autodetect

4 is there an FCC number - trace it

5 open it up get the chip details and trace that
