When we lived in Japan ten years ago, I used to withdraw money from an ATM with my debit card. The limit was around $1500 per day. It always showed up as a charge so I never paid any fees. I'm not sure if that was a glitch.

If you're in a bind right now and need money in a hurry, probably the best way would be for someone here to go to their bank and wire you money.

if you have your debit card with you, you can find an ATM machine in the country you are right now to withdraw some money (they would, however, have a withdrawal limit and might charge you a big fee).

call you friends in the US and ask them to send you some money thru Western Union, and you will pay them back once back in the country.

there is alos might be a possibility to open a bank account or even Western Union account in the country you are right now, and call your US bank to transfer money to your new account.

This is NOT an appropriate question for LANGUAGES. So if you can't select the proper category, you'll never get money out of the U.S.
