You can read why from his books. I would say "The Problem of Pain" is one of the best (though many say "Mere Christianity" is better).

C.S. Lewis....investigated Christianity and decided Christianity was logical I guess...

Lee Strobel....wrote "case for faith" and "case for christ". he was a journalist/reporter setting out to DISPROVE christianity and through his research discovered it was true...

There are also a couple more athiests who have debated christians and became christian...can't remember their names...but if you're interested email me and i'll look them up =)

Many prison inmates find Jesus, but then again, most of them were Christian before they went in, so I guess that doesn't count.
