Here's one thing I wonder... they've had "disk defragmentation" programs in pretty much since Windows 3.1 (if not earlier), so did Microsoft get off their lazy asses and code Vista so it didn't FRAGMENT THE FRIGGIN' DRIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Or do you still have to run a defrag regularly?

I don't know, because I have not tried Vista yet. But there are file systems out there that NEVER need to be defragmented. Linux in particular uses formats that do not need to be defragmented. Good night!

i don't think of defragging a 2d time is a strong theory. Defragging does positioned a stress on the HDD. There are different classes obtainable that defrag more beneficial positive than domicile windows defragger, yet you'll nonetheless be left with some files that would't be moved. i'd merely enable those fragmented files be and wait until eventually eventually it desires to be defraged back.
