WHEN A COUPLE HAS LIVED TOGETHER MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AND ONE WANTS TO GET MARRIED, BUT THE OTHER IS UNSURE, WHY IS THIS, USUALLY?

Often hesitation before action is a sign that one is unsure of the full consequence the action may represent. The opposite is usually true as well: that one who is uncertain of the consequence of a particular action often displays hesitation.

Unsureness before taking the step into a marriage contract can mean that someone is rethinking his ability to commit, or his belief in his would-be partner, or perhaps he is unsure of the honesty of the relationship... there could be an almost infinite array of answers here.

The bottom line is: hesitation before making such a big step isn't necessarily a bad sign... It can be a very wise thing to do.

Just scared maybe. My husband would have married me after being together for 2 months, but I wouldn't get married. The last 2 relationships I've had were bad ones. The first ending in divorce. We finally got married after 10 months but I still wasn't 100% sure, but I'm so glad I did. I knew that I loved him and wanted to spend my life with him, but at the same time I was scared because of what I had already been through in the past. Just don't rush it. If it's meant to happen, it will happen in it's own time.

Because the person who's not sure doesn't want to be married to the person who wants to get married. Maybe the sure one is a slob or a workaholic or any other millions of possibilities of things. Usually when people move in together, they find out real quickly if they're compatible. Sounds like a no-go if only one party is sure.

this means that the other person is not completely interested in the relationship. listen relatipnships can not be made forcefully. if love is true it rushes to u and stays for long, i mean lifetime. so dont be in a hurry, rather wait patiently and dont fall into intimacy wit tat friend or it becomes hell even after u close the chapter of that relationship.

6 months for me is too short to think that way. considering the thought is OK, but acting on it is too short.

* SCARED TO COMMIT.
* FINANCIAL WORRIES.
* NOT CONFIDENT OF THE OTHER PARTNER.
* SEES A BLEAK FUTURE AFTER THE COMMITTMENT.
* DOES NOT WANT TO SURRENDER HIS FREEDOM.
* DOES NOT WANT THE RESPONSIBILITY YET.
