I meet his mom when he invited me to his graduation. His mom did'nt look like she was pleased with me. His Uncle introduced himself and was nice to me, I think he told his family I was coming. I knew this guy( and liked him) through college for 3yrs and this was the first time he has introduced his family to me. Recently he has invited me to some of art events and I met his Aunt and he has met my best friend. When he met my best friend he was'nt acting like himself he wanted to show a good impression and he did my best friend thinks he's nice. When you meet a person that you are interested family does this mean anything even if we are not together?

I personally think meeting someones parents is no big deal at all, just look at it as meeting any regular person. Besides, meeting their parents will give you a little insight on him, because people are often somewhat similiar to their parents.

If you're not a couple, you can meet the parents whenever it is convenient. If it is a relationship, you should meet them before any long term plans are made--when things start getting serious.

Why does there have to be a timeline in relationships. Can't you guys just meet the family when you feel it is right?? Do we have to meet certain crititeria to do everything in our lives??

Yes people do make a note , specially at this age , give at least one year to settled down in career .
