well in general like the others have said Tara is used to being a womans dog & since obviously your g/f is a woman then she may be more likely to warm up to her first....also you have to consider that Tara is confused & upset due to your Mums passing, she doesnt understand where her Mommy is & why all of a sudden she has been given away & not able to be with her....it will take time for her to adjust & the best you can really do is take care of her, pet her up as much as she will let you & BE PATIENT!! you said the dog never had a problem w you before so in her eyes being as you are the one around & her Mommy is not in her eyes you may seem to be the reason shes gone, so keep taking good care of her & just keep trying to let her understand that from now on its you & it...she will learn to trust you & love you , but she is grieving & confused as to whats happened...your g/f may actually be able to help out in this situation make sure in NO WAY does she laugh at this action or evenslightly encourage it, try to get her to cuddle w you & the pooch & show the Tara that you are good & loving & can be trusted, Tara obviously feels your g/f more trustworthy as she is a female & in its eyes more like your Mum......sorry to hear bout yer Mum, my condolences & prayers!

well you should gain the dogs trust first. playing with it, while your gf is in abother room doing something else. or out with friends. take it for walks. pomeranias are known to be terriorial of their owners =(

sorry to hear about your mom, things will get better and the dog will learn to like you =)
