I have saints of ladderdy or whatever they are called, come to my house, no they are a different door to door religion group, oh what are they called.
Got it Jehova witnesses, ok they come to my door, now I used to listen to them and such but they came so often that 2 of them came up and i said no thanks and slammed the door in there face.
I do belive in God and Jesus died on the cross and repent my sins, and all that.
This wasn't christian of me, what should I do?
Don't tell me to tell them to polietly leave cuz they don't.
Next time i'll have a nail ready next to my door and hang a cross upside down and put in some red contacts and make a fake book that says Devils Bible in red bloody looking ink and have a cloak on, and record some sheeps getting slaughtered from a butcher for an audio and invite them in to worship to my prince of darkness.
Bet they wouldn't come in.

What you're talking about is called the church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints/ AKA LDS AKA Mormons. They are one of the fastest growing religions in the country. Jehova's Witnesses are a weird cultic group where one guy decided he didn't like everything the bible taught so he took a bunch of stuff out and put his own stuff in. Mormons are also considered a cultic group because they don't believe in the trinity, don't believe in salvation by grace (though they claim to, it's clearly untrue once you become a member) and they also believe the bible is NOT the complete, inerrant, authoritative word of God (which Christians do). Because of these thigns, though they say they are Christian, they are not according to biblical standards. They misiniterpret the bible according to the book of Mormon, the doctrine and covenants (another book of "doctrines") and they have one "prophet" who makes random commands. The book of mormon has been changed over 3000 times since its original version. I recomend you reading a book called "Under the banner of heaven". it's all about the history of mormonism and this guy who killed an innocent woman and her baby (he was mormon). Anyway, it has all the historically TRUE documents and discusses how Mormonism is compeltely man made.

To get them to leave, just tell them you're not interested. Say "thank you for your concern, however I believe that your group is a cult and the God you worship is not the God of the Holy bible." which is true. If we all died tomorrow and Mormonism was true, all "good people" (people who haven't killed anyone basically" would go to heaven, even if they're not mormon. if we all died tomorrow and Christainity were true (which i believe it is) Mormons would go to hell, along with anyone else who didn't recieve salvation.

Anyway, I love talking to Mormons and I'm going on a mission trip to Utah this winter. SooooOoo if you have any questions, i'd be happy to answer them. Hope this all helps!

I'm agnostic, my brother is LDS.

I hear a lot of atheists, agnostics, pagans, Protestants and whatever else talking this way about Mormons/LDS and JW's.

I have had both come to my door before. I have always said, "I am not interested, have a good day," smiled, and shut the door calmly. Never had a problem with them so much as talking back to that approach, let alone refusing to leave.

So, either I'm the luckiest person in the world, or there are some people that do some major exaggerating. All I know is that my brother has knocked on doors... but if you told him nicely that you weren't interested, he would leave you alone.

Being mean is not necessary.

Man, when they come back just tell them that Jesus is God and if they have a problem with that then go because you are not interested in any of their lies.

If they respond "Yes, Jesus is God.", then that's great. Kinda busy right now but let's get together later. Okay, bye now.

Remind them that no man goes to the Father except through Jesus Christ.

But don't do what you were thinking. That is not the behaviour of someone who is repentant or who loves God.

I warn them to leave immediately and throw vegetable oil (in summer) or cold water (in winter) on them if they don't leave by the count of five. Nobody has a right to invade your or my home and spew such crap without permission.

Check the law on self-defense and trespassing in your area and follow it right up to the legal limit. The advantage of vegetable oil and water over other substances is that they don't cause harm, but they sure do prevent the godbots from bothering me or anyone else for a while.

Are you asking if the drastic actions you have to undertake to thwart off those Jehovah Witnesses is evil or wrong? I think so. I know they can be very persistent. Don't you have a peephole? When you see them coming, just don't open the door. If you go ahead and do your course of action, they will insist on coming more to save you. They might even come in and felt obligated for your salvation.

Just pull out your Bible and read this passage to them and tell them God doesn't want you to associate with them and if they don't like it they can take it up with Him.

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

All I had to tell them was that I did not believe the way they did and that I belonged to my own church. When you see them coming tell them you are not interested in what they have to say and close the door.

if you are a real Christian, tell them the gospel, that Jesus Christ died for them and there is only one way to Heaven, then leave them to it.

you are allowed to put a sign on your door that says "no evangelists"

This makes it illegal for religious groups to knock on your door in order to witness to you.

This is what i heard from my friend. His mother has it posted on her gate. I've seen it, and i've never heard her speak of door to door evangelists bothering her since.
