Sites listed above are good. If you want an answer to questions like exchange rates, use Ask Jeeves (www.ask.co.uk). It analyses your question in an intelligent way. Google now works in a similar way. I just typed in "pounds to turkish lira" and up popped the exchange rate.

I've generally used oanda http://www.oanda.com/ to obtain exchange rates. However, your bank may use a different exchange rate. I don't know any site that does a comparison between banks and travel agents.

I dunno if the Uk has this but Travelex is good. If you dont have Travelex, go to the top exchage compony in the UK.
