A woman after my own heart. It's never too early to Christmas shop. Why wait until the last minute when the things you wanted are gone, or have gone up in price?

My kids are 10 and 8, so we're in about the same shopping range. I don't know how much you want to spend, but I'm getting my boys the Mega Bloks Pirates of the Caribbean ship sets, Lego Starwars II, new videos, Bionicles, and my mother is buying them their own iPods. I was against that at first thinking that kids don't need an iPod, but then she said that I wouldn't have to listen to their music, they could just put in their headphones and listen to it all by themselves. That right there sold me. LOL I can only take so much Kids Bop.

Those aren't the only things they're getting, but those are the major ones. I'll put little cheap toys under the tree and in their stockings as well. Action figures, GI Joes, cars, gift certificates, things like that. Hope that helped! =)

I know that older generations, such as my parents and their parents, would have neat things like that. Like their used to be chemical kits as common as those water dye ones as today that kids would get. The only difference is the chemical kits had actual chemicals that could kill. And they'd contain stuff that could make powerful explosives. These are now extremely illegal. But it is one reason why people used to be smarter. lol Onto the answer. I'd check with the parents first. It seems slightly dangerous. If it was me, I'd be fine with it. It also depends on how smart the child is and how mature. When I was 7 I used to want yugioh cards(I'm 14 now), and hated reading educational things(But this would've been up my ally). But a lot of 7 year old friends I've had recently seem to be a lot more mature then I'd have assume before meeting them. I have friends who'd love stuff like that and it seems like a nice idea for a gift, certainly clever. If I got one for my Christmas, age 7 or 40, I'd love it. But I'd really check with the parents first, they may love the idea or be against it. I've had friends who would be 12 and would have parents that thought stuff like pokemon was dangerous and influenced violence, Y'know, parents who shelter their kids. But yeah, if he seems like he'd be interested, I'd do it. It will help in the long run even if he doesn't like it at the time being, not that he wouldn't(It sounds fun). Like when I was about 8, I got a 2 inch thick book on the universe. I liked it but never read it. A few years later I was interested in it and you couldn't have taken it from me if you tried. I'm still interested in space and physics now and it is mainly because of it. Though places like hobby lobby sells cheap kits for learning electrical wiring, I used to want one when I was little(And secretly still do). Those may go good with the book if your looking to make it more interesting. W/e works.

my experience is, that there must be more than one, they don't need to be expensive. Little things he love or wish. Do your homework, observe, ask (not directly),... I have been working with children with bee wax (see opinions on http://home.amis.net/lenikiz/ ), it's not expensive and brings a lot of creative fun. They simply love the idea to do candles. And the best: it's 100% safe, don't need to malt! You must buy a honey combs and wick. You can order by me, but the shipping costs are expensive. but I'm sure you will find it somewhere close to you. you can e-mail me for instructions. they are free and will be happy to help.
I have already buy one present and it's nice to thing for this beautiful celebration, not just two days before. Every day is a good day to give presents. Have a nice day, every day. justOne
