Personality differs for everyone with no exception. There are no personalities and characteristics excatly the same due to our own temperament and the society that mold us.

There have been studies of characteristics due to order of birth. For example, a middle child who seem to seek a lot of attention and etc.

Depends on who you ask. But there have been well written, documented books and studies suggesting that birth order does matter. Not that it's anything as simple as "the first born are always the most responsible" or something like that.

If different characteristics show up, it has far less to do with actual genetics, and far more to do with the way you are raised and expectations on you from other family members. In other words, its environmental that shapes the way we become based upon the life experiences we have.

Add that to all the other things, birth sign, birth time, rising sign, genetics, parent's education, it goes on and on. Not sure anyone is totally sure on any of this.
