If god is omniscient and omnipotent, the alpha, the omega, the creator and nothing existed before god and he created all, would it not stand to reason that for evil to exist it must have been created by god. If god is perfect and infallable, and knew all that would take place until the end of time even before the very first act of creation and he created lucifer knowing full well that lucifer would become the fallen angel satan would it not stand to reason that god created lucifer on purpose? Or adam ? I mean if i make a cake and even before i make that cake i know it will not taste good, do i continue making that cake? Do i blame the cake for not tasting good? Is it the cakes fault that it does not taste good or mine? If I am a perfect and infalable creator being and I create something and it disobeys me, is it not my fault? Did i not intend for it to disobey me? I mean i know the future right? How could my creation act in a way i did not anticipate if i know all that will be?

You will get tons of freewill arguments. For some reason these people do not understand that you are talking about god's actions and not ours. An all-knowing god would know that people would go to hell before he created them, but ran the plan anyways. They will not accept that and try to do crazy mental gymnastics to hide the fact that the god of the Bible is the most evil character in all of fiction.

The Bible clearly states that Yahweh created evil anyways.

Isaiah 45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

I like the shadow metaphor. Everything God created is capable of casting a shadow. The shadow isn't the thing God created but it exists because of something God did create. So you could say that evil is the shadow of all the good God created.

Or you could go with the "not" theory. Everything that is created opens up the possibility for things that are not that thing. And things that are not good are evil.

Or you could go with the bad-performer theory. Shakespeare created Hamlet but he isn't really responsible for all the bad performances of Hamlet. And if all the world is a stage every show that is performed on it won't necessarily be a hit.

Okay and don't forget the whole free will thing. You start giving creatures free will and you never know what they're going to do. Of course people who believe in predestination say God knows in advance everything everybody is going to do because he has preordained it but then that's sort of like there really isn't any free will at all and if that is the case I think it would be really boring to be God and I'd probably start looking for another job after a few millenia.

Lol I use to ask the same kind of questions when I was first saved.
Yes God Knows what people and Angels are going to do before they do it. But, he does not create them to do bad things. Its all about choice. God gave everything he made with a brain the freedom of choice. Why would he want to make robots? Why would he want to create beings and Angels that did everything that he said? How would he know if they truley loved him?
When people say how can God be a loving God if he would send someone to hell? God has never or never will send any person to hell. The only way a person can go to hell is by there own choice. Jesus one day will send satan to hell for 1000 years.
When God created lucifer yes he knew the choice that lucifer would make but it was his choice to make.
If I had not accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour I would have spent eternity in hell. But by the Grace of God and the Blood of Jesus I will spend eternity in heaven by my choice.

You could compare me to your cake. When I was a teenager I was one of those that should have been put to death. I did drugs, I dealt drugs, had sex with many many young girls and even much older women. Just like your cake baking and you taking a test bite; it tasted awful. Now all these years later and I finally recieved the Holy Spirit and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. God forgave me of all my sins. He made me a new creature. I have a relationship with him and Jesus and pray to them everyday. Just like your cake might be when its finally cooked. It could be good or it could be bad. The cake does not have a choice but God gave us the choice to love him and trust him or we can have the alternative.

The existence of evil or Satan or the fallen angel, Lucifer is the classical example of God's Benevolence, He granted man his free will. He created the fallen angel, Lucifer; gave him free will before he betrayed God and was cast into hell. Sure , He 's all knowing but He didn't will Lucifer to become evil. There's a lot of mystery in life and religion that we'll never know until the time God decides to reveal everything.

Whether the Source of Life came from nothing or something
is not something I waste energy on. The Source is the "I AM!"
The first AWARENESS, of which without, we wouldn't know what
something or nothing IS.
Truth was taught in story fashion in the old days. And we need
to grow up ourselves. And use our God-given minds.
Personally, I think evil was a process of degeneration. As
the Source of Life sent the Lifeforce outward, and different
dimensions were formed, it eventually got weaker. The first
life had godlike qualities and abilites. And eventually, at
some level, life still had its godlike abilites to create, but started losing godlike qualities. And pride, and wanting attention, and learning to manipulate and control, and all these evils came into play.
Just my personal point of view.

God created all things. Even evil. If evil didn't exist then we would have nothing to choose from. As it stands now we the free will to choose to do either. And let's just say there's quite a few people who choose evil on a regular basis! over righteousness.

The Bible SAYS that God created evil.

Isaiah 45:7...

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

That's the least of the evil things that this God did in the Bible.

The origin of evil is choice. God gave everyone a choice, including Lucifer and Adam, and that choice determines if one is good or evil. I like to think that God , even though he knows what is going to happen, wants to give everyone a chance. I am sure that if Lucifer begs God to forgive him tomorrow God will gladly do that. I also like to think that our life is not predetermined into a straight line but branched into a million lines and our path determined by our choices. God sees all the path laid before us but waits for us to make the choice.

Wow, those are really good questions!

Maybe He created evil and gave us the gift of free will so that we humans would have to decide for ourselves .. which way to go, the high road or the low road?
