I don't think the debate it about whether he existed, it's about whether he was the son of God.

I do believe Jesus existed. Whether or not he was divine is another question entirely.

The sources listed however are not proof in and of themselves. Neither Josephus nor Tacitus were eyewitnesses of Jesus' existence, thus, they rely on second or even third hand accounts like the Biblical stories. At the end of the day, it is about faith whether or not one believes Jesus existed. Unless authentic first hand accounts are discovered, it is doubtful that hard proof will ever be available.

It proves that there were Christians in the later part of the first century (as it says in a round about way, most scholars believe the Josephus passage is a forgery).

Why are you so concerned about proving Jesus' existance? Isn't is supposed to be about faith?

Is there any true Christians on here? Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are all about Jesus Christ. In fact almost the whole N.T. is about Jesus Christ.

He was born unto a virgin, he taught, healed, loved and died for every person ever born or to be born. He rose again to sit at the right side of our father.

His divinity, however, was nothing but wishful thinking.

Sir,

We have a religion based upon this person. He did exist. The writings of Josefus, tell us that he did exist.

The apostles, and their disciples, spread the good news throughout the Roman world.

I have always believed. The other texts believe he existed. I was surprised that there was other texts proving his existance but when I found out i knew it had to be true.

I don't have to see any physical proof, or read anything other than the Holy Bible. That is proof enough for me!
