It is through our times of greatest adversity that we learn our most valuable lessons. Understand that God gives you misery to test you and to make you stronger. That builds your character and develops your soul. You should never forget your miserable times, but you shouldn't dwell on them either. Accept them as gifts, that made you who you are and be proud of that... you are already much farther ahead of those that didn't have those experiences! If you approach every situation in life and every person you meet with, "what can I learn from this, or what does this soul need?" then you will be content and wise.

Do not forget those things in your life. You need them to make you a stouger person. Learn from these things and more on. You look in the past to much. You can never go back and can't change it so whats the point? Fous on your Furture and make goals for your self. You can help others with the things that happened to you.

The only people who are not afflicted with misery at one time or another are braindead. We all have difficulties. You do not need to forget your past hurts, you need to use them to move forward. Think about what has hurt you. Ask yourself if you could have done something to prevent getting hurt. Write down what you think hurt you. Write down how to avoid it in the future. Fill your time with activities that are meaningful. Serve others. Stay away from situations that you know are painful. Keeping a journal often relieves the anxiety that builds up causing your nightmares.

Depending on what those things are, there are different ways of dealing with them. Seeing a councillor may help you identify ways of dealing with them which would be best for you. However, I personally find that when I tell people about my most miserable moments, they suddenly lose some of their horror - because my miserable moments are mostly really embarrassing, and telling people about them, in a light way, makes them less so. Eventually, I hope to one day be able to laugh about them. Now, I'm working on even being able to vocally acknowledge they happened. But telling people about them, honestly, slowly, and at your own pace, might help you feel better about them.

Remember GOD is good all the time. I think along with prayer you should go get some professional help. Maybe you just need some meds to help you get started with healing from this thing that is gnawing at you. Also learn to laugh as often as possible. You would be surprised at how much it really helps you... GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I am sorry to hear that things are haunting you in your life. Hurtful things can consume your life. Do not get comfortable in your pain and allow them to wash over. Have you tried talking to someone about them? Writing about them? Try to focus on positive things in your life. Turn towards God, He helps people through.

The best way to forget is to lean on someone stronger than us, to tell him, cry out to him, and believe me once you are through the greatest peace that the world cannot give descents on you when you learn to share your problems with God, he knows how to heal our wounds.and remember mans help is always limited.

Is there someone you can trust and talk to about your concerns? It is impossible to forget but you can learn to cope with the memories. Call a hotline and talk it out with people who have been there. I hope you feel better.
