The standard is Guiness and Bass, but you can get a "Black and Tan" from many different breweries now. Yeungling in Pennsylvania, for example, sells a black and tan which is their famous lager mixed with their dark stout. You can make your own by mixing any dark stout and a paler ale, although I'd try beers of the same brand at first.

Any dark beer and a light beer. They stay separate in the glass to a point. It looks cool as well as gives you a nice variety of flavor that changes slowly as you drink it.

I prefer Guinness Stout and Harp Larger myself.

Guinness and Bass ale. I make them at home every once in a while. Very tasty. Named after the British army who were stationed in Ireland. Little factoid for ya. : )
