Not really. Protestant's don't have an official day of fasting. Catholics observe lent where they abstain from certain foods..

im a protestant. and we normally don't perform fasting but i dont see a reason why you shouldn't do it? its a matter of your own choice and your faith to God. either way your still prayering to God only the difference of two is that fasting requires sacrifice
