An Oil Heater is an electric heater that contains oil which is sealed inside it. You don't need anything other than a place to plug it in.

I assume you're referring to a kerosene heater. If so, then yes you would need kerosene. They are against the law in many places. They are not dangerous now, but they used to be. They burn kerosene, which is lorta like paint thinner, it is a low octane clear petroleum product. You are probably better off buying a propane heater than a kerosene heater.

Kerosene is a oil, but it is not to be used in a oil heater.... its to be used in a kerosene heater.... (the two are not the same)

you can go to walmart ,and buy a sealed oil heater .like the new sealed batteries in your car .you don't need to add anything.
