I'm talkin' to this really hott, nice, guy- he's on the football team, and he treats me like royalty. He's asked me to be his girlfriend a few times but only in notes and voice mails. When he asked me if I got his voicemail or read his note I always say no. The other day he brought it up while we were talkin' on the phone. He said i asked you out in that note I wrote ou the other day, we just got really quiet for a few minutes, and he finally said he had to get off. It's not that i don't wanna go out with him, i just sorta have a commitment problem, and i wanna take this one slow because i really like this guy. Please give me some advice on how to handle the situation.

that football player, is not even brave enough to ask you face to face, youre having reservations as to giving your heart because you know you are not totally in love, if you cant give yourself to that idea yet, dont rush let time do it, if he is not patient enough to understand that after you have explained it to him then he is not worthy of your love after all, no need to rush if you have problems with commitment, i totally hate it too

i think you should just tell him that! And the reason he got quiet is cos he was waiting for u to say yes or no (just incase u were wondering.) Tell him exactly what u want and how u feel. well, best of luck! hopefully this all works out and if he is a nice guy he will understand... if he gets mad or something, he not very understanding! Do you want that kind of guy?

The best thing to tell him is how you feel about it. Tell him you have a problem with commitment and your afraid you migth hurt him in a relationship and you like him to much to do so. He will know that about you and work with you and know that you care alot about him. He will find it so sweet too. He wants YOU so stop teaseing him like that. If you keep doing want your doin he's going to find someone else.Don't. You desever the best so give yourself what you want. Tell him yes

if your really into him and dont want to lose him... tell him! before he thinks your not interested. Tell him what you just told us. That you are weary about starting a relationship b/c you have a commitment problem and want to take it slow. If he is genuine and cares about you he'll understand and do what it takes to be with you.

Don't be too slow, you will lose him. but just agree to go out with him as a FRIEND then if he bring it up again... tell him that you also interested in him but you need time to have a real answer. But as I say, don't be too long and too slow !

I think that you're thinking too much about this. You aren't committing to him by going out on a date. Just go out and learn more about him. Dang, no wonder guys feel that they have to be @sswholes to get girls to get anywhere. When they treat you nice, they get nowhere.

your going to lose him if you dont say yes soon. but make it a point of telling him you would like things to be slow going. be honest with him its the best way. read tips on dating and relationships to better help you on this site

what does fear of commitment have to do with a date?.......nothing!
guys - all people actaully - hate rejection and we tend to think the worse so you ignoring him he probally feels rejected and thinks you dont like him. if you like him you need to go on a date with him... before he gives up and stops asking, and that WILL happen.
you can still go slow but ignoring will not work.

well i'd say have him call you and when you are talking to him tell him you will go out w/ him as long as he promisses to take it slowly!!but if he truely likes you i think he wouldn't mind taking it slow either for a while and who knows maybe he would want to take it slow too!!
