Egotisti is a trait aquired by humans. God is not a human, he is a supreme being. He created us, he alone is the reason why we live. God does not look at praying like a king looks at a tribute of money or sacrafice. God looks at prayer as a communication between father and children, friend and friend, lover to lover. He delites in us.
God Bless

if he is an egoist .. will he create humans .. and give them free will .. will he create humans that do not believe in him ..
if he is an egoist .. then no one can say no to him ...
he created us .. he can ask us anything ..
and prayer is to our advantages .. we will be closer to him .. him who the source of relaxity .. and asking him for something we need in our life .. is this egoistic ?

It's egotistical of us to think that He is not worthy of our worship.
He didn't have to make us--but He made us to have a relationship with Him. For that matter, are we egotistical enough to think that there is any higher calling than to worship and pray to the Creator of the universe? It's not like we have any leverage to tell Him that there are better things we could be doing.

Are our Mothers and Fathers egotistic for expecting you to respect and honor them for the rest of your life, or do you do it willingly, no questions asked because without them, you wouldn't be here? Well with God, I think its the same idea. If God wants us to pray in His or Her name-I think its a small favor to ask for the omnipotent One who gave us the air we breathe, the world we live in and the lives we have...Amen...

Praying is "asking". Is it a bit egotistical of God to invite us to ask him for things, to let us know that we can count on him? I don't think so.

If you've got a question like that - you need to be pondering actual doctrine from Him. Not asking people randomly that som ehave no faith. My best suggestion... Any missionary would more than likely have the perfect answer for you. Happy Hunting.. "if any of you lack wisdom - let him ask of God."

Prayer is just talking. Would you regard it as egotistical if your father asked you to talk to him? It is good to say thankyou to God for all the good things we have, but you can say anything you like; honesty is best.
