A physical or emotional crisis can have a disturbing effect upon people. In times of shock or trauma, people often have experiences which influence their views, beliefs and opinions upon spiritual matters.
It is my opinion that those who do no wrong, need not worry about being saved.Just stay out of trouble in this world and you will not suffer for it in the next.

I think that most everyone goes through some kind of crisis before they get saved even if it's just a mental one where they finally realize that God is God and they are only human and they have to confess that they need Him in their lives.

No, it doesn't seem that way to me. And, yes, it is possible to be saved without something bad happening to you. The Bible tells us the only way to the Father is through Jesus. All a person has to do is truly believe in their heart that Jesus is the son of God. That is the only thing required of us.

Being saved is not about getting away from a crisis, it's about cleansing you soul with the blood of Jesus Christ, and having all your sins wiped away. It should be greatly celebrated.

It is not about you or me. We get saved only by the grace and mercy of God. You just need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Paul tells how to become a Christian. James goes more into detail about what's next.

Damn Good Question!
I can say that those who have gone through a very bad event, and were christian, and are still Christians are stronger in the faith!
Those that were not christian but becomes Christians, become strong in the faith!
All must be tested! So those that are christian and have had no or almost no adversity, hang on Its coming!

Don't you have to "believe" first, and then believe that you are lost in order to be saved?

no, it is only when we are in crisis that we turn to G-d or if it isn't G-d we turn to people when we are vulnerable and in pain. It is ok.
