Why is it when women like Susan Smith drown their children and says that God told them to do it, they are insane for hearing voices; HOWEVER, when Abraham was going to kill his child as per God telling him to do it - he was a totally rational person whom heard real voices????

You got that wrong, Susan Smith first said a black man stole her car and kidnapped the boys, then she finally admitted to drowning them because her boyfriend didn't want kids. It was the Yates woman in Texas that claims she drowned all 5 of her kids because of God. And back in the day of Abraham things like that actually happened. Today God wouldn't tell a mom to kill her kids, God wouldn't tell anyone to kill anyone. When God told Abraham to sacrifice his son, God was testing Abraham. Back in those days they sacrificed animals to God. We don't do that today, so saying God told me to, is totally ridiculous.

I can't even begin to tell you how I feel on this subject. In my opinion, Anyone who attempts to hurt a child for any reason should be beaten, tortured, castrated, and left to die. That is exactly what they are doing to the child, isn't it? If not physically, then emotionally for sure. By the way, the Bible is nothing but a contradiction.

i bet you never had children. They can drive a person nuts as any parent knows. I am not a saddest and I loved my kids and lotsa other peoples kids but I gotta tell you I do not understand why more mothers do not hear voices and kill their kids even w/o voices, the real miracle is that this crime isn't more common.
