my parents did it to us...I still take long showers, my mother would come in and turn the water off...instead of getting out I would put soap on the bottom of the tub and slide my tush back and forth for another hour..

Well, I would tell them the only things they are suppose to do in a shower is shapoo, condition, and wash their body. If they're a girl shave too, which all adds up to about a 15-20min shower, right? So show them the proportion of what they need to do. So that they get an idea of all they need to do. That helpped me cause I used to take long showers too.

Get a small timer which will release a trap door for a small cage that will have a cockcroach waiting for its freedom.
You bet the water bill for that month will be considerable less.
hmmm..maybe they will stop taking showers altogether ...?

I used to put a load of towels and things to wash when I wanted my kids to get out, I washed them in HOT water and made it a full load so they were out soon after I started the load, they would accuse me of doing it on purpose, the first time I didn't but it proved to work so............the rest is history.........lol

My mum usually smashes on the door. Just turn the hotwater off, that'll get them out.
