Actually, the ancients had it together on this. Because they allowed the young to marry when their "urges" came into play.
And they were able to enjoy their sexuality in loving marriages,
instead of breaking down, and causing all the chit today.
Someone told me the real deal, was they raised the legal age
for things during the depression, so young men couldn't get jobs.
There was no work. No money for work rather.

Setting religious beliefs aside, I think the biggest thing to take into considering when it comes to sex is what it means to you. For me, it is the most intimate sharing of my body that I can give to another person, and the experience has to be mutual. Sex isn't just a release - it's a part of you. So instead of just having sex cuz your body wants it and cuz you can, I am all about it being something special that is shared in the context of a mutual, caring, loving, exclusive relationship.
Just can we want something doesn't mean we should act on that impulse.

Because if you sleep around with everyone before marriage what makes marriage special? Of course, if you haven't been married how would you know? It's just that you need to save some of the passion for the one you share your life with, in my book.

look, humans are animals, we are not "better" per se. The urge to reproduce, to find shelter, food, sleep is ALL primal urges. No matter what you do it's there. Religion puts a rein on it so it doesn't get out of control, but it's definitely ok to have premarital sex.

That is because we evolved to spread our genetic information, the urge is natural and is there to ensure our survival and proliferation. For those who disagree, they believe in a world of make believe where their lives revolve around an imaginary friend called god.

Our emotions are what drive us to do the things we do. God, if your totally committed to Him, requires purity. Purity requires us not to be lead by our own passions. Thus, when denying ourselves the pleasure of sex before marriage not only do we grow stronger in faith in God but when the time comes when we DO get to have sex in marriage it's all the better.

Because you are horny, and if there is a god, he made you that way so it makes no sense that he would want you to not have sex before marriage. Besides, we invented marriage, not God.
I hope you are not getting all your friends pregnant!

The reason is the exact thing that you state. It controls you and your relationships with females.
Anything that controls us and keeps us from walking closer and closer to God is actually our new God.
We are to master and control our sinful nature and fleshly desires. We cannot do this on our own, we need God and his power to help us control that which controls us.

Geez, you asked and answered your own question. the sex drive is strong so that people WILL marry. It is especially strong in men so that they will be impelled to remain with their spouse to raise their children.
