I think manking is already doing a great job of destroying the world. We've gotten away from farming and self sufficiency and tried to make everything easier, faster and more entertaining, largely to our demise.

Just like children don't have the wisdom to understand all of the ramifications of their actions, I think our actions are having negative effects on the environment right now that we can't see or know. We could be much closer to tearing up our planet than we realize because we are just smart enough to get the job done, but not smart enough to see that it's happening.

God said that this is a world without end. Before mankind can destroy it Jesus will return (after the Tribulation ) and set up His kingdom here on Earth. Read your Bible. It's all in there.

Man will do it. Luckily god will step in before it is completely destroyed.

By the way - 1 Peter says that it will be destroyed in fire, and the elements melt - Sounds like nukes 2000 years before they were invented

no doubt that we are doing this planet wrong (yes, i know that is shocking coming from a republican) with all the gasses and crap we put in the air and into the oceans, but in the end, God does not need our help.

besides, maybe its His way of doing things to let us tear up our tinker toy of a planet.

I believe that man will alone destroy the planet because man is too ignorant to see more than one perspective of any given issue.

Man will wipe himself completely off the face of the earth--just about-- at the end of the war of Armageddon--until Jesus shows up and puts a halt on it.
