Eggs you should have twice a week but no more than three times. Also reduce your cheese, crustaceans (like shrimp, lobster, etc.), red meats, butter and mayo intake. You should be eating more oatmeal and food that is high in fiber...Buy bread, pasta, and cereal high in fiber...it will reduce your cholesterol level...if it doesn't work, talk to your doctor because maybe he or she will have to prescribe you something to help you reduce your levels. I think you can keep eating peanut butter because it has good fat. Good luck!

Which cholesterol is a little too high: your GOOD or BAD cholesterol?

You need your good cholesterol because without it your body would probably attack itself from the inside.

Bad cholesterol comes from unsaturated fats, foods that are insoluble in water like cooking oils, fats, etc. You should eat more food that are labeled "good for your heart" and cut down on the bad stuff.

Chocolates, Pork, white bread, eggs. greasy foods especially those fried with cooking oil, butter. If you really want your cholesterol to go down don't eat anything. (smile)

stop eating beef. eat fish and chicken. to compensate take a pill of fish oil daily. you can buy these in any health food store. even if you eat beef and take the fish oil tablet it will balance.
But here is the real trick. buy a machine that turns vegetables into juice and juice fruits and veg tables galore. include lots of garlic and the blood pressure will go down.

Avoid egg yolks (the whites are fine), red meat, butter, cheese, margarine, mayonaise, whole milk, dark chicken or turkey meat, and ANY hygrogenated oils or dressings.
Eat lots of fish, especially salmon and tuna.
