In Hinduism Ra is known by Surya and Savitr. The Gayatri Mantra is a prayer directed to Savitr. "Om bhur Bhuva svah tat Savitr vareniyam bhargo Devasya dhee mahi dheeyo yonah prachodayat" Which is usually translated "Let us meditate upon the Supreme Effulgence of that Shining One who vivifies and awakens the world. May that Supreme One enlighten and awaken us."

Of course Hindus believe that there is only one God and that all religions are just merely different perspectives on the same infinite God. And there is no punishment to those who don't believe in God. Just the thought of continuing samsara (cycle of birth and death and birth and death, etc). Hindus don't believe that anyone could ever do anything to be seperated from God. Afterall, the entire universe is the outpouring of God. It all manifested out of God and God also still pervades the universe in unmanifested form as well. Thus God is beyond all forms and names and is at the very same time all forms and names.

Coincidently, one of the incarnations of God in the Vaishnava tradition has as an avatar of Vishnu a man called Rama (or Ram in Hindi today). He is the hero of the epic Ramayana.

Great question, peace be with you.

You must be an Egyptian to believe in RA, the sun god of Heliopolis in ancient Eygpt. RA, a man with a hawk head and headress with a sundisk is believed to be swallowed every night by the sky goddess, NUt and reborn every morning. Now, come on, how can you believe in something like that? And a religion based on fear is not a religion worth believing. We got to see this Tomb, yet.

Another nut who has no balls to stand up and be responsible for himself....you are weak, you are a sucker, you believe everything you read and hear instead of using your common sense and realising that it's all crap. 10,000 snakes? How did the snakes get there, and what are they living on? Dead sinners? How would they get their bodies into their mouths? They have no hands or claws to break them apart? Wouldn't they be feeling slightly uncomfortable, wriggling all over each other? I mean come on!!!...
