its good you dont want to hurt them, so dont give them any false hopes.dont try being kind it will only give a wrong impression if you dont like them you dont have to be kind, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, because if you pay attention to them but you dont really like them then they will feel hurt by you , so its good my advise to you is never let them see any act or word you say that will make them think that they have a chance.
i also have a crush on this guy, well almost all of my clasmates have a crush on him, i think he knows it, thats why he is just silent about it, and acts like everything is normal. as for me , i would never let him see my real feelings, i disregard him too eventhough i really really like him, i dont want to sell my self short to anyone, or try being different just so someone could like me too, so for you you dont have to do anything , just act normal and soon they will get the meaning, girls usually know when to stop.
they just have a crush on you, its not like they want to marry you, girls have hundreds of crushes you know, you might just be at the top ten list of their crushes, for me i have 10 crushes in school, but i dont really take them seriously, dont worry they wont really hate you for that, youre just one of the options

i been having the same problem as you for years.. be flattered and feel appreciate that someone cares about you in that manner. tell that person that you would like to be friends but your not ready to be in a relationship. you wont hurt them

be good to them too but not too much that you'll be giving them false hopes. be thankful that girls like you but don't bring it up to your head. just be true to yourself and be true to them too... only, in a good manner.
