No I don't think so, I KNOW we need God.
& We need His son Jesus who shed His precious blood on the cross for our sins.
And we need His Sprit who dwells with those who are His.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
God is the author and perfector of our faith.

Some people do, some people don't.
God is something that keeps people from making bad choices. A punishment/reward system. For others, they just understand what to do and what not to do.
God is there for some people when nothing else can be comforting. Or when a person needs strength that they don't believe they already have.
Without having something like God to hold to, there's a void.

Yes. Look at how God blessed the US in a little over 200 years because almost everyone in those days believed in God and went to Church to worship Him. Other countries have been around for thousands of years and we started out as a very poor bunch that invented just about everything that makes up western civilization. Now, forty to fifty percent do not believe in God and look at the direction our country is going in.

I will reiterate a point made in a previous answer. I do believe that some people need god and religion. They need the guidance that it provides. I also believe that others do not. This does not make anyone of them better or worse than the other, just different.

i believe we do. i'm an atheist, but i believe that if there were not people out there who believed in a higher, wonderful power, then everyone would be a hopeless, miserable wreck. the idea of god gives people hope that there's something good after this life, so they live the best they can to reach that. when something horrible happens to someone, it's nice to believe there's someone there to help you get through it, even if there really isn't.
there are hard times in my life like everyone else, and sometimes i would like to believe in god...but logically, i can't. so i depend on myself to get through those hard times instead of hoping that someone else will help.

this si a yes or no question, most people will say yes, some will say no. A better question would be WHY we need god.
I think we need god because we need to have faith that we're not just here and this is it....

Some people wouldn't know how to have a sense of morality without religion. The world is not quite highly advanced to completely shed religion yet.

Definately, we need something to hang to or believe in. Joel Sonnenberg is a great example, and shows that God's existant is real.

I don't think "we" need God. I do think some people do, and that's really ok, so long as they don't try to make me believe the same things they do.
