i have a friend who is 16 years old and she met a guy who is 31 although he doesnt look like he is 31. anyways she says that she likes him and him that he likes her, she asks for my opinion about the age difference but i dont know what to say, any advce? do you think that it is alright to go out with someone that old?

well it all depends on the 16 year old because the 31 year old already knows what is out there and what he is capable of doing and getting, women wise. On the other hand the 16 year old friend of yours doesnt know what else life has to offer her because of the pure fact that she hasnt been out there in the real world for very long. the girl should really concider how much she really wants to put into this relationship b/c she has her whole life ahead of her to find and meet so many different and interesting people, so how is she suppose to know if he is the right one. For right now it is ok to experiment around(not in that way) and see what kind of potential this guy has to offer. Its ok that they see each other right now but let the girl know that she shouldn't let this guy tie her down

I almost went out with a 15 year old and I'm 19. Then I realized it's just not right, although I look like I'm 15 and I'm a very late bloomer. 31 dating a 16 year old is Pedophilia. When She's 25 and he's 40, then It wouldn't be too bad, but still not good.

I myself am 28 and never in my life would I go with a girl that young. At the age I am I think he should be a little bit more mature and date some one at least old enough to vote. I personally think that is still too young.
We all have crushes and infatuations and it is great that your friend thinks she has found someone, but I believe they should at least wait until she is 18. By then I am sure her tune will have changed anyways.

well 16 is way to young to 31 all you need to know the true love is in the heart you can date 20female to a 40 male there is no age limit in love you love a person well let that be it then love is love it has no rules boundries all you do i hold that love for each other company there is absult no law in loving another to a diffrent age bracket

No, it isn't. Not until she is 18 and legally responsible for herself. There are a lot of older guys out there who dream of having relations with teenage girls. The girls are so dumb they think they are all that cause an older guy wants them. In fact, the guys are cradle robbers and fiends who need to get a clue and be thrown under the jail for taking advantage of stupid teenage girls.

sure it is, in fact she should, as all women should date older guys, men mature much slower than girls do, so they will have about the same maturity, and he will treat her much better than any guy her own age..he will respect her more, will have more money, he should be better in all areas, and she will have a better experience than if she were going out with another teen....he should be very careful because if she is under 18 there could be some legal issues...but for her it is ok....

i kinda believe with "age doesn't matter"... but with this situation?!?... i'm sorry but, i think it's not okay... that's too much... maybe the guy is younger with the girl for about 1-5 years, or the guy is older than the girl for about 1-8 years, those situations are okay... but your friend's situation... so sorry for her...

Definitely NOT, because legally she is considered a minor. And he is considered an adult. He should have his head examined to even think about dating 'jail bait'! Obviously she's too immature to realize the consequences.
