Don't be sick about being curvy - a lot of guys like a little bit of meat on a girl's bones. Just because you're not Mischa Barton doesn't mean you can't be pretty. After all, check out Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce Knowles (rawr!).
You seem to be doing fine, but you don't want to overdo it on gym time. Give your muscles time to heal a little bit if you're lifting. And leave yourself time to have a life - the hardest part about weight loss is psychological. If you feel like you're giving up your life just to lose a few pounds, it won't be as rewarding as it could be if you have time to have fun AND reach your weight loss goals.
And also, cut out sodas, even diet sods, as much as possible. And don't drink sweetened fruit juices - make sure that the juices you drink are unsweetened.

You sound like your doing OK If you are over 150 lbs if you wiegh less lower your calories . Dont over due it on the exercise though, The key to all of this is DIET, try to get most of those calories from lean meats and vegetables. You wont gain big muscles, if it were that easy I would be all buff. Break those 1600 cal. into 6 meals a day. I lift heavy wieghts/no cardio, and consume about 3200 cals. a day and I only gain a pound a week. Muscle burns fat, so lift those weights, Stick to it and you will lose weight.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I would keep the weight lifting to a minnimum if you don't want to add bulk or large muscles. But try to lower your calorie intake to around 1500 and do lots of cardio like what you are doing ( running and biking) those are great ways to burn calories and get lean! You sound like you are on a great track to getting what you want . Just be patient and stick with it and before you know it ,one day you will all of a sudden your clothes that use to fit you will be falling off of you! I promise even if it seems like nothing is working at first, after a while you will notice a big difference and it will happen all of a sudden! GOOD LUCK TO YOU !!!

I agree with K.C.
Cut down the cals (I was doing 800-1000 b4 I found out I'm preggers). Change your weights routine to less weigh, more reps. That way you tone up but don't build too much muscle. Also, up your cardio. Your body gets used to it after a while so you have to step it up as soon as you feel your body isn't responding.
I've found Weight Watchers is a very good, usefull tool. Also, Slim Quick (if you're a female).
Good luck!

spaced exercise is good. 30 minutes is a long time if you are just starting out. Try shorter spaced sessions and gradually increase. If you have not had an exercise program for years it will take time. Also consider that if you develop a program and achieve your goal then stopping or cutting back will soon cause you to return to the previous condition. If you are not overweight you may improve your health and not have any serious weight loss. Consider diet and exercise a life long event.

As for the calories, it depends on your height. If you are short, you can get away with less calories,
as for the working out, you are doing fine, you do not want your fat to turn into mush, you want it to turn to muscle, unless you are lifting heavy weights you will not turn overly muscular

Yes, I lost 45 lbs this way, it was the only thing that would work, along with the weight watcher's program.
