And you look up at the sky, what do you see?
Please, be insightful. Let's not everyone say stars.

Mr. Duchovny,
I see mystery. The heavens are supposed to declare the Glory of God, and if you read E. Raymond Capt you might see that. But there to me, is a vast expanse of wonderful mystery.
I was in the South China Seas, and the Indian Ocean, and I saw the Milky Way as unhindered as I thought possible. A river of stars! Going across the sky. Truly beautiful. Sometimes, if I stared long enough, I thought that I could see the difference in the distance of the stars. I was probably wrong about which was closer, but when you have time to really look at them, they are not just stars.
Did I just slaughter several sentence structures? lol
Edit: Lol

When I look up at the night sky I see a vastness that I cannot comprehend. I see evidence of a creation that is far beyond me, far beyond anything which can be explained easily. I see things which are still, things which seem to move but never really do, things which are there, then gone, then there again. Sometimes I think I can explain what I see, but other times I am without words or explanation. If I look closely enough, I can pick out patterns, familiar sets of certain stars, things which I have learned about over the years. If I let my eyes wander, and just take in the beauty of what is there, I see wonder. I realize that I am looking upon an amount of power and energy that is truly unfathomable, and I consider the source of that energy and power and am awed.

I see mathematics given physical expression, and feel at one with it all because everything is governed by exactly the same rules. I see the proof that everything has a beginning and has an end, that everything is happening exactly the only way it can happen, that nothing could have happened differently, and nothing can happen any way other than the way it will happen. Perfect computation, and me, some miniscule result of the grand calculation, subject entirely to the laws of mathematics, nothing else.

actually, I like to watch clouds. I call it "sky art" I don't create it but I get to enjoy it just the same. when I was a little girl I would go lay out on a blanket in the middle of our huge field and just watch clouds for hours.

Bugs. And lots of streetlights.
I'm not in the mood to be insightful.
EDIT: If I happen to perk up later, I'll come back and change my answer, how about that?
