What are some reasons that you believe in god? I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm simply curious.
And please don't say "how can i not???" I want real, logical reasons.

really, i don't think i'm going to get a good answer. anyone who clicks on my questions is only doing so because he or she has an answer. any other christian won't dare to put "i don't know why i believe" on here. yahoo answers is biased.

Think about the process of life, from being nothing, a sperm cell, to being a breathing human full of life - who or what else could possibly create such a miracle...God.
*Most people believe because its the way they were raised and taught.
I believe because believing helps me get through the day. It makes rough times bearable.

I see God in everything around me. I also just think it makes sense. The chances of us humans arriving where we are now from nothingness is about the same as taking a watch totally apart putting it in a sack and shaking it up and dumping it out on the table and expect it to come together perfectly. How many times do you think it would take for this to happen? That's right. It just doesn't make sense that it would ever happen unless there was some intelligent force involved in putting it together just right.

When I first chose to believe in God, I was 11 years old and started going to church. When I heard about Jesus' sacrifice for me being an expression of God's love for me, I was very drawn by the longing I had in my inner being for love.
Now, over 50 years later, I believe in God because of all He has done in my life. I've experienced some very difficult things and I've failed many times to be what I ought to be, but God has always provided the help I needed and I am not the person I once was or might have been without Him as the Lord of my life.

I was at a place in my life I felt as though I could not go on any longer. I prayed and things that I could not explain away started. I realized that something outside of my self was in control. I was shocked and amazed, but kept wondering about this and then one night in my spirit I heard (not audibly), it is time for your gift, I no clue what that was referring to, within a week a lady whom I had not mentioned any of this too gave me a book called the gift of the Holy Spirit. And things like that have been happening to me ever since. It is the LIVING GOD WORKING WITH ME, IN ME AND THROUGH OTHERS IN A WAY THAT CAN NOT BE EXPLAINED AWAY.

Well I guess I have issues with the fundamentals of your question. If God's existence scientifically could be proven then there would be logical reasons to believe. As true existence can't be proven then it is up to each individual to choose. Hence free will. So logically speaking it is up to each person individually to decide if they believe or not. I saw a sign the other day that said
"Some things need to be believed to be seen."
When you open your eyes, your own experiences will surprise you.
Plus, science still cannot explain the vast majority of the inner workings of the mind, the body, molecules, the universe, and many other things. Many attempts have come close, but fallen short.

Even though I have been a Christian since I was 12, I have strayed from living the Christian life I know I should & my life was lost. My life always is more complete and makes more sense when I'm following Christ & his teachings.
I hope I answered this ok for you.
God Bless!

The real, logical reason is that I know God, having asked him for his mercy and initiated a relationship with him.
God called to me long before I acknowledged his existence or answered his call. If you listen for God, you may find that he is calling to you too. You may have already heard his call but have passed it off as something nonsensical or unreal...and so you have delayed getting to know him by refusing to answer.
How to answer? Get on your knees and say, "I am here. What do you want me to do?"

Perhaps what you seek can not be found within this forum.
Perhaps what you are looking for can only be found within you.
What I believe is not important, it is what is in your own heart that truly matters. If you believe, then do it with all your heart. If your faith has been shaken for some reason, know in your heart that your creator is with you. He will be there always, if you believe or not, to guide you and give you strength.
Aho,

There are things in life that science and common sense will never answer. One can't dismiss the possibility of a supreme being!
