No it's not dumb, because "best" is a relative term. You can't really qualify that because "best" is different for everyone. One of those things you cannot measure and is not scientific.
Now, if you were to ask is is responsible, then, well, still you are on shaky ground, because it is your belief system, and of course you are going to think that your way is the best way, because each religion says their's is the only way. (only one is right)
But again, if you are asking should others study other religions before spouting off about theirs being best, then I would still have to say, you have no basis, because it's just not necessary.
Now, personally, yes I do study other religions, but it has not changed my mind one little bit.
Jesus is still the Only Way.
So, to answer you question, it really doesn't matter, people will believe what they believe. It's not knowledge that saves.

Yes, very. If you genuinely study other religions, you come to realize the positive messages of all are pretty much the same, and all of them include a lot of judgment, prejudice, and cruelty when interpreted verbatim. They are all parables for living at a now defunct time. Literalists of any are narrow minded, intolerant, and probably just plain stupid.

Your religion might be the best for you. But other peoples choices and beliefs must be respected. I don't think its dumb because people around you will make you believe that your religion is best, but if you're smart you will acknowledge and respect other religions.

Ehh, religion is just a classification. I don't really follow religion. It's like a blank space on a piece of paper for whoever to fill in with whatever. I love Jesus and that's all there is to it! God is God, not religion.

It is best to believe that all religions have similar themes and objectives. No one religion is better than others. Some people were spiritual without religion so many are on the path to enlightenment, religion or not.

Whatever works for you at the time will be what is best for you. It sounds like what is best for you right now is to learn about more religions.

Yes. There could be a perfectly great religion out there you judge by first sight. I think that we should try to reach out the get to know everyone and anyone we can. Diversity is the spice of life!

Well, the religion that you choose for yourself must be the best one for you. You cannot choose without comparison so you must have studied other religions......OH!, unless you just believe what you have been told to believe.
