You have to work the whole body, not just one target area when working out, or you will not loose the weight. Proper diet and nutrition is a must anyhow, especially when wanting to loose weight, it is more important than the work out. If you workout and do not eat right, you will have muscle hiding behind a layer of fat, which will make a even bigger belly. Also, you will burn more calories in the morning than you do at night, don't ask me why, but it is true.

well its really best to do both but if you have to pick one over the other ,I suggest you get started on those ab workouts asap! the more you do the better abs you have I would try different types of crunches. there are different ones to help work out all the different ab muscles that you have start out by doing 10 reps for each ab section a day then when that isn't so hard anymore add 10 more each untill you feel comfortable doing 50 for each ab section . i beleive there are 10 different sections to your abs, so stating out that would be 100 total crunches a day! GOOD LUCK!! You can do it just keep in mind what you want to look like!

Do ab work outs every other day and well don't eat to much food, but you still have to eat. Do sit ups crunches and mix up the ab work outs you can ask your PE teacher at school for other ab work outs you can do and well you probably don't want to do that so look up some on youtube theirs a few where you lay on your back and raise your legs up to a 30 degree angle then go up to 60 then 90 degrees then go down. Theirs also some other ones like laying down in sit up position putting your ankle on your knee then as you go up for a sit up your elbow hits your ankle do this a few times to get used to doing it like do it 5 times with left ankle on your left knee then sending your right elbow to your left ankle and well do it the other way for the same amount of reps you might be able to find this on a youtube video. Good luck.

Doing ab workouts only is fine but if you have fat over your stomach it won't do anything, you will just be shapping the muscle under the fat and it won't really be flat. You have to do cardio to get rid of fat, so that it shows all the work you've been doing.

Every person loses weight differently, but many women carry extra weight around their stomachs. That means there is a layer of fat over the muscle. So maybe you have the greatest, most toned abs ever, but that layer of fat is keeping anyone from seeing them. So eating better has to be part of your strategy, too. Sorry!

You can work your abs all day long, however as long as you have excess weight on, your beautiful abs will be covered up behind the fat. The added muscle may even make your stomach bigger.

That's sort of like asking which is better for you, breathing or eating! Both are necessary.
