I did the fruit and veggie thing also, it usually works, but for my son it didn't. He loved the spinach, sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas, squash, carrots and pears, he would gag on everything else. Well guess what happened?????
One day my parents asked if he was jaundiced, and then I noticed he had a yellow tint to his skin, the doctor said it was from the natural yellow beta carotene in the foods that made his skin take on the yellow tint, not ot worry when he began to eat a variety of other foods it cleared up.
Try mixing 1 teaspoon of disliked veggie into 1 serving of a favorite one, this worked sometimes and not others. My son did better after I started giving him table food, I just cooked some separate for him without the seasonings and he loved it.

I always mix a little fruit with the baby food to sweeten them, or a little dab of brown suger. I know that they are supposed to develop a taste for the vegtables, but there is plenty of time for that. Whatever works!! Hope this was some help.

Have you tried not giving him the sweet fruit first. See if hell eat all of his veggies, then give him the fruit. usually the taste is so different to them. Babies love the sweetness so when there expecting to take another bite of fruit, there fooled by it being bitter veggies. Be patient though, he doesnt have to like everything. I believe my son was like that. alot of the veggies he didnt like. Now that hes 3 he loves veg. but gags when he eats any kind of fresh fruit. Its tough.
goodluck

Mix them with something he likes. If he gags, don't give him any more of that veggie. He has a right to not be forced to eat something that gags him.

Mix them with some mashed potatoes. My son loved his veggies, but he had a bad gag reflex. The potatoes will help.

Im not sure if this is help but when I was little I began to love vegetables because my dad was telling me how dinosaurs like the brachiosaurus loved to eat vegetables like broccoli, which are like trees, and lettuce is like the jungle plants and stuff... Nowadays I dont really think much of it but it helped when I was younger.

Mix the veggie part with his fruit. Babies love sweetness. Mix it 2 parts fruit and 1 part veggie. As he gets use to that portion, maybe he will tolerate 2 part fruit 2 part veggie. Also, when you make his baby cereal, you can mix it with veggie and fruit baby food.

Don't force him to eat them. He will adapt to them as he gets older. There are other veggies out there you can subsitute for the ones he doesn't like. My son hated green veggies, and now he eats more green beans, and celery and peas than he ever did. He will be ok.. :)
