if a shy girl is checking out a guy from across the room, they will tend to touch their face and hair while looking at the guy in question. Glance over quickly and giggle a lot.

If a shy guy likes someone, they usually get really quiet, and smile ..well shyly.
They will often try to make contact with you, however innocent it is, just to be near you.
But often they will try to keep it look innocent or playful, so they are not in a position where they could be rejected.
