My favorite artist is Claude Monet. He painted in ever looser shapes and many many beautiful colors. He was nearsighted, and painted directly what he saw with uncorrected eyes.

I am as myopic as many of his paintings, and it is a great joy to reach out to him across the decades and share a novel way to have a vision problem.

Monet, Van Gogh and a Canadian painter Lawren Harris. My favourite painting is by Harris and is called "Clouds over Superior". His style is graphic in the geometric sense but still converys the realistic beauty of the Great Lakes. He was on of the "Group of Seven" Canadian painters.

Michelangelo. My favorite is the backwall, not the ceiling, in the Sistine Chapel where he included a tortured-soul as self-portrait to the consternation of the Church. What a Joker!

Ah, there are so many!

Bierstadt, Friedrich, Michelangelo, Dali, ... too many to name. There are always at least one or two artists that I like from each art style.

And we can't forget my girl Artemisia Gentileschi!
