Ashley, where did you get that list? It seems to be more up-to-date than mine...
Also, the Harry Potter books can't be counted together

Quotations from Chairman Mao - Mao Tse-Tung
Edit: That list is four years old, but the #2 book is listed as being 800,000,000 copies ahead of the #3 book, so I'm assuming those positions haven't changed.

If you don't count that Harry Potter books then you can't count the bible either, because they are counting it as all the versions, new and old, king james, picture, gideon etc. To make the bible the most printed book you have to add up all its flavors. And then it is only a vague guess, probably inflated by the xtains.
What does that mean anyway if it was produced in the biggest number? At one time MEIN KAMPF was the number one produced book in Germany. Elvis topped the charts for a LONG time. They sold an awfull lot of those pet rocks. They sell a lot of english bulldogs(dogs that usually can't concieve or deliver naturally, can't breathe properly, have tons of inherited medical problems and they are dumb and ugly).
Just because something is number one means nothing really. Not all WWII era Germans were nazi's, but they all had several copies("Mein Kampf") around the house and knew it forward and backwards ot keep from getting branded unloyal.
I am sure that at times there were atheists that kept bibles and knew every verse because they feared being burnt at the stake or beheaded.
Before everyone gets all excited and mad saying that I am comparing "Mein Kampf" to the bible, I am not. Mein Kampf was written by a mad man, and he used it once to try to take control of the world and to control people's morals and values and force it to be their only choice for their religeon, killing anyone who was not loyal.
The bible was never meant to control people or to take over the world or be societies only choice for a religeon, nor was anyone ever killed for not accepting the bible or making statements against the bible or its teachings...hmmm er actually...

All time the number two book is the World Almanac followed by the Guiness Book of World Records.
Update - the website http://home.comcast.net/~antaylor1/bestsellingbooks.html is in error because the number of World Almanac copies passed over the 100 million point well over two decades ago - I don't know what other errors are in it as well.
2nd update - after looking on the web it seems the number citing are popular - so I guess that is what most what to use - see http://www.booksellerworld.com/bestselling-booksever.htm as another list - however I don't understand why Mao's book is up there since most were not sold - they were published and give to the people for free.

Probably the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The Bible was the only book available to the masses for many years and nothing could touch it's best seller status until the latter half of the last century. SO It still must be number 1

THE BIBLE
It tops the best seller lists every year.
Nothing beats it.
World sales of the Bible are more than 100 million every year.

The Holy Bible is not the best selling book of all time.
The IKEA catalogue is. Then "Lord of the Rings". Then the Harry Potter series. The Bible is fourth.
