Healthy tips for losing weight fast

1. Lessen calorie intake by 250-500 per day by substituting most high calorie foods for low fat varieties

2. Keep this cut going for at least one week or until you reach a weight loss level that lasts more than 4 days, then reduce calories by a further 200 per day.

3. Take high quality protein with mainly meals or if possible combine the low fat plant foods together at each meal.

4. Begin a standard weight-training program to keep muscle and boost metabolism.

5. Do aerobic activities on the days in-between the weights sessions to help burn fat directly.

6. Drink plenty of water all day to keep energy levels.

7. Lessen sodium eating by preparing meals using fresh, natural and healthy ingredients.

8. Gently raise the intensity level of the weights program forcing the body to hold onto muscle as calorie intake is lowered gradually over time.

9. Never go below 1500 calories per day, simply exercise more often when if this target is reached.

LOL Well, I really wouldn't recommend getting the flu, but there is some logic in that...

You don't want to lose weight fast. You do that, and your body'll get the weight lost back even faster, and most likely, even more. You want to lose weight slowly in order for your body to adapt, and that'll be easier to keep off.
I lost 12 pounds in three weeks. All I did was cut fast food out of my diet and hit the gym every two days for two hours with the emphasis on cardio over weights. You can probably lose even more if you cut down on the soda...which I never did....lol Good luck.

I just read your name, and I can't remember where I heard this from, but an hour of just shooting hoops can burn off over 600 calories.

Eat whatever you want, but limit your calories to 1500 a day, and workout 4 times a week for 30 minutes on a stationary bike, or treadmill. Every 3 weeks, boost your difficulty level one notch (start at level 1). You'll see the pounds drop off, your body become fit as a fiddle, and you'll have more energy.

Don't forget your One-A-Day plus Iron.

If you eat in moderation and a variety of foods (not just a lot of sweets)-and exercize, you will be ok.

Too often dieters will deny themselves foods they like and then they get discouraged and go off the diet because they cannot refrain from the so called "no no" foods. Eat small portions-recommendations are for no more than 4 oz. of meat, for example.

I have lost 26 lbs. in the past months only because I eat very little at a meal and small snacks in between because I am diabetic.
Some medications will cause excessive weight gain-i.e. diabetic meds-I also lost some of that weight when my diabetis stabelized and my dr. took me off of it. Actually I attribute the loss to eating small portions. marlyne B

Eat lots of wholefoods and stay away from fats, and sugars.
Exercise daily for 30 minutes, like brisk walking. There is a book by Dr. Joel Fuhrman on loosing weight quickly, and check out these books on healthy nutrition.

Some cardio combined with a reduced caloric intake and more frequent meals. Generally 5-6 meals a day works. Guaranteed to work.
