OK, so I made a regional dialetic error by saying best selling book, no need to get your panties in a twist...

People buy the book manually? I though it was an automatice thing myself...

So no one has ever bought a bible on-line?

You don't see it on their list because the books on that list all rise and fall with popularity. It's not an "all time" list. It's a "what's popular at the moment" list. Here's a list like you are looking for.

The Bible is #1 at 6 billion followed by Chairman Mao's little red book at 900 million. Of course the Chairman's book was required by law to be owned in the most populous nation in this world so that kind of skews the numbers.

After that the numbers all fall between 100 million down to 30 million which is a normal statistical grouping for the next 8 books. God's book towers in sales over all the others like a 60 foot giant would tower over people the tallest of whom was only 1 foot.

The Gideons wanted to put a copy of the bible in every hotel room - but when they decided to do this, there was no company called Amazon - there was no internet.

Check your resources carefully. Then get back to us.

Amazon.com has not been around as long as bibles have been for sale to the general public.

"All time" means before Amazon.com was created, I'm guessing.
