The impact it will lead is:

1) Mouthy kid learning those bad words that WILL repeat the words to others

2) Emotional and self confidence issue.

3) No respect towards others of what comes out of their mouth.

4) Will form a behavior of acceptance and has high chance of carrying it on into adulthood to their own children. Causing an unhealthy cycle.

Of course you have heard it's just plain wrong, and using bad words/names can damage a child's self esteem-but most importantly, studies show that its ineffective and counter-productive. I am the perfect example-my Mom(God bless her heart, she did it the only way she knew how) constantly called me greedy, fat, obese when I was just a tad overweight, stupid, lazy and many more. I have since grown up to be an obese adult although I wasn't this big to begin with, I have problems finishing things and holding down a job, etc. I'm not saying she was the cause of all these things I'm going through, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't productive learning for me, either. Think about that when talking to children...It sure makes me stop and breathe when I get angry with my daughter...Hope that helped...

Very wrong. Teach children well.
Impact would be traumatic if continued.

No, I do not think it is right. For one thing calling them names breeds a low self esteem. These parents need to step back and think of the consequences of their actions.

absolutely not! I hate when I'm out and a mother talks nasty to her kid..like come here you little a__hole or F__kr... That is so trashy,,,if these people could see themselves on a video, they'd probably be shocked...Imagine talking like that to a little 1 or 2 year old innocent kid...disgusting! They're not little robots and can't walk as fast as an adult or understand certain things..Get a life to people who talk like that to their wee ones.

Calling your children names is never acceptable. My dad used to tell my brother that he was worthless , would end up doing drugs, and would go to jail. I am not surprised that he has done tons of drugs, gone to jail, and can not keep a job.

Absolutely not. Children are human beings, their age should make no difference in the level of respect you owe them.

Absolutely not! Do people know how that affects a childs mindstate? They will eventually do their children the same way. I think it is a form of child abuse!

Bad words are very hurtful to children as well as adults and are a lazy excuse to not use any creative language........If you have to cuss at your kids, you shouldn't be allowed to have them........
