I did when I was 23. It was legal where I was, and we had plenty in common. Still have extremely fond memories!

Well, it depends on the country and culture where they are living. Some 16 year olds are very mature and some 24 year olds are immature and the age of sexual consent and social norms and expectations are not the same in all countries. Also, "wrong" is a term that needs to be defined in your question. Are you saying is it "illegal" or just "morally wrong?"

If it is a question of is it wrong because it is legal, then I think the older person just needs to wait for a sexual relationship until it is legal. Even if that younger person seems to be willing to keep quiet about things for now, you still need to worry about what if you get in some big argument or if others find out later.

If it is a question of is it morally wrong, well it really is not up to all of us to decide what is morally right for everyone else. We all have our own values and our own sense of what is right and wrong. And before anyone goes into the stupid "what if..." scenarios, I am saying AS LONG AS THIS IS LEGAL WHERE YOU LIVE, then do what you feel is right. I am NOT saying people should do anything want just because it feels good to them. All citizens have the responsibility to control their behaviors to what is legal in their area.

Laws are made to protect citizens, but there are some gray areas with the law because we all have our own idea of what is acceptable and not. I happen to agree that 18 years of age is a good rule of thumb for when someone should begin sex. It is an age where we have had enough experiences to make better decisions, but even after 18, people can make some stupid mistakes with sex.

If you are the person in this relationship, please check with your local authorities to find out what your laws are in your area as well as the laws of any area where you may travel. Also, don't play with the emotions of this younger person. If you are going to take them from childhood into adulthood, do it with respect, compassion, care, and honesty. This is true no matter if it is the man or woman who is older.

The question is what is the 16 year old doing chasing a 24 year old woman?

yes. it seems wrong to me. It would be illegal if this woman had sex with this 16 year old guy. There is something wrong with the woman to even be chasing someone at that age. Hopefully she doesn't have sex with him or anything. I would tell the boys parents about this lady.

uhm, yeah. of course it is wrong! The fact that some of you think it would only be wrong if it were the other way around is ridiculous. Statutory rape charges can go both ways you know.
