When I assigned this extra credit question to your child, I was looking for Eisenhower. During his Presidency, the secrecy surrounding Ike's golf scores was a pretty frequent comment in the news media. He must have been nearly as bad as me!

Thanks to this forum, I have learned that lots of Presidents are a little sensitive about their scores. Kinda fun.

Saw Bush Senior at the Ryder Cup - so he ain't dead yet. But he's moving a bit slower now - maybe he uses a cart to play a full 18 ?

Q. Isn't haveing your cores classified TOp Secret, kinda like lying ? Isn't the whole point to golf an exercise in humility - to show that everyone sucks at something ?

Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Bill Clinton all have kept their golf scores secret. I don't know of any dead president that has their classified as top secret though.

Absolutely did not officially happen, Several presidents may have said the is a state secret when asked but if fact it never was. Were it true, US reporters could have it declassified under the freedom of information act, No judge would protect a dead President in the silly suggestion.
