"what exactly is a carnal christian"
The fundies will tell you that it's a Christian that's sinful in some way. Since they are all sinful too, it kind of makes them seem idiotic and hypocritical. They are.
In my book, it's someone who practices disfaith. One who doubts God, and doesn't put Him first.

To the fundies: The carnalist.

To be a "carnal christian" is to be of the world. But no true christian can be carnal because then they would be enmity against God (Romans 8:7).
We are to be in the world, but not of the world.

A carnal Christian is a person who is not led by the Holy Spirit, but by the desires of his own flesh or mind.
No I try not to be. We all have to work at it and yield to the Spirit and keep our priorities right.

A carnal Christian is someone who claims to Love God and yet won't let go of thier worldly ways, drinking, fornication, drugs, cursing, etc.

carnal means to please the flesh to be Earthly not spiritual. I do fall into this category at times try not to but is a constant battle
