I live in a really rough area and though i don't commit any crimes or anything like that i have got friends that have been stabbed around here one of them fatal and would like to know is it legal for e member of the public to wear a stab vest if he/she feels the need to protect themselves as my area has recently been voted worse than London for crimes of this calibre

no longer truly, even with the reality that the Police may be suspicious in the experience that they understand. The bit about chainmail must be a US aspect - over the following vest offered as stab resistant are kevlar. you're meant to get them in my view outfitted and they in reality look after what they conceal;.If someone tabs your leg and hits the artery ... by the way I have lived and worked in crime-filled parts, with human beings I have a tendency no longer to go such as, for decades and performance yet to work out a knife produced, no longer to point used. the actual undeniable reality that you're an interloper probable makes you a lot less likely to that form of attack

Wow. What has the world come to when people think about wearing vests for protecion against being stabbed. I'm not coming down on you or anything. I'd get one for my son if we lived in that area. When I saw your question, I thought maybe you worked in a prison or jail.

Hi, Yes it's perfectly legal to wear one.
You can even get one cheap at a police surplus auction if you know when they have them.
Security guards get them from auctions most of the time so ask around!

Body armor, purely defensive, I don't know why it's illegal (EX. law enforcement), if you use it for a crime, it should be charged as a weapon, if you're just wearing it (and are a reg Joe) I see no problem.
