You can believe whatever you want to believe. Here's the only situations I get angry:

(A) "Evolution is just a religion, too!"
(B) "Creationism/Intelligent Design is a science!"
(C) "You have your God, I have my God, but I think your God is retarded!"
(D) "You're going to burn in an eternal lake of fire if you don't accept Jesus Christ!"
(E) "There is no proof of evolution!"
(F) "Only my religion is correct! How dare you follow the wrong religion!"
(G) "Gay people are going to hell!"
(H) "Fine, you keep subscribing to the wrong religion. We both know who you'll have to answer to eventually! Meanwhile, **I** will be enjoying eternal paradise!"

Whenever someone says any of the above, or just in general comes across as a pompous, arrogant know-it-all, yeah, I get angry.

(By the way: Every quote above has been, more or less, repeated on this site, including the "eternal fire" quote and the "your god is retarded!" quote. So I didn't make any of that up.)

I am angry with and hate Christianity. I don't hate Christians, they are just victims of a mind virus. I hate the virus, not it's carriers.

I do not hate Jesus. I usually would hate anyone who started a cult, but Jesus never existed.

You may take it as me being an angry person in general, but you are wrong. I have a deep love for humanity. Christianity, when viewed objectively, causes tremendous harm to our society.

Not exactly a question that brings unity. How many people in America HATE Christians, maybe 2% of the population. How many people have hate issues with people who do not believe in the Chrisitian God or a God at all? Probably a few more.

Stop thinking that Christians have it so hard when most Americans claim to be Christians.

Not at all...

First off, I don't hate anyone. Hate is a negative emotion that doesn't serve a purpose.

As far as angry, so far there is only one person who has made me a bit miffed by sending me rather insulting emails which questioned my intelligence...

I decided that instead of detailing all the research I have done, I decided to smash them in the virtual way. After about five emails mocking his elementary grade level grammar and spelling, I think he finally gave up. I haven't heard back from him in a few days now.

I spend the almost 3 decades as a christian, when I decided to dig into my faith, I found that god is a man-made idea.

Now I am a strong and unapologetic atheist. I have never been happier, stronger, and better off...

I am an atheist. I am usually not angry, but I do find stupidity like this somewhat annoying, but not surprising from people that believe in bronze age superstitions. Though I don't run around telling people they will go to hell and be roasted in agony for all eternity by my god of "love." I haven't done the research on this hypothesis, but I predict that a large percentage of Christians have massive inferiority complexes, mostly well-earned, for which they harbor bottomless wells of animosity and resentment and look to their spiteful god to avenge them on all their betters, in love of course. Does anyone agree?

I'm an agnostic. i do not hate Jesus because it's silly to hate a mythical character. nor do i hate Christians and I'm not an angry person. however, i do find some Christians quite annoying when they gleefully gloat that I'll end up tortured for eternity if I don't submit to their attempts in converting me to a belief that entails human blood sacrifice and ritual cannibalism.

i mean ... its rather rude to smugly consign someone to infinite agony. dontcha think?

Hi there!

I'm an athiest and I'm not angry. Actually, I am very content with my lot in the world and the people around me whom I love and who love me.

I think that anger can manifest itself in many ways. Certainly Madeline Murray O'Hare was a real piece of work. Angry and out to prove that she was right at all costs. That's how she because the symbol of athiesm ... because she was desparate to prove herself right.

The same thing is true for the fanatic religious people as well. They seem threatened if someone doesn't believe exactly what they believe. That makes it really hard for them, when the majority of the world doesn't agree with their point of view.

It's actually not hard at all to understand why people need to believe in religion, and so it's easy to forgive people who do. People are psychologically programmed as infants and children to expect that someone (i.e. parents) will always make everything all right. When they grow up, they want the same thing.

I don't begrudge people their need to believe in god. I just think it's a psychological need and an understandable one. It's not based on reality.

Hi Steve (at the bottom of the list here). I'm the guy who gave you a thumbs down. If you're interested in why, its actually pretty simple. I think you're wrong. It's OK, of course, that you're wrong, but worth a thumbs down when you attribute motives to me that I don't have.

They are angry because Christians go around preaching, and when they are asked to leave, they don't leave they keep bothering people, and I can kind of see why this upsets people, they're just like those annoying door-to-door salesmen.

Religion has caused a lot of violence, which would make any1 who hasn't been absorbed and blinded by it's brainwashing finesse hateful at first, but I have learned hate is not the way to cure ignorance.

Compassion is! Luv u guys (even u christians)...happy dreams;)
