Raj,I to prayed with contrite heart asking that my sins be forgiven,this was done instantly but it took a time to clean out the residue from my mind..GOD created spiritual laws,Metaphysics,that govern these things,if one makes the effort you can receive understanding of it.

berkat & Tarant, the things you mention I have had no reason to seek answers on, IF you will seek i'm sure you will find answers to any question you have.I am sure GOD is unconditional LOVE and God pronounced all of his creation "GOOD",if good then why punish??? GOOD/ EVIL IS A HUMAN MISCONCEPTION.

I don't know about that saint's statement, but I do know that God must be unconditional love because He loves me and I know I don't deserve it.

If God is unconditional love, why did he send an angel to kill the first born of every Egyptian family? Sounds more like a genocidal maniac to me.

Seems unbiblical. God did set conditions for his love. He punished his people (Israel) whenever they failed to toe the line. He threatens to put them in the fires of hell if they do not obey.

He might be in the afterlife (if there is such a thing). We, according to religion, need to meet his conditions here on earth to qualify to enter his kingdom, however.
