I am not going to try to give you any proof because you are closed minded and won't consider it.

But I want you to know that I did not give you a thumb down simply because I learned so much from Martin's answer. I decided to take up this space just so I will be able to refer back to Martin's answer for further reading.

Lee Strobel's books are really worth reading.
C.S. Lewis was an atheist who decided to disprove God but he went about disproving in an honest and constructive way. Why don't you take lessons from him, Jim.

Please get a life, Jim!

Monday's Thought:
If everything, absolutely everything came about ONLY by evolution then why don't evolutionists simply commit suicide?

If evolution is the sole reason for our being here then we have absolutely nothing to look forward to even in this life. There is no hope. We just go on and on and on and on - winning some and losing some, in a continual downward slide.

We are advancing technologically but after hearing about the horrible story of the woman who cut the fetus out of her childhood friend and then drowned her friend's 3 young children, just what is the point of life?

Jim, it is time for you to start examining your own beliefs, rather than asking for proof of God

Do you believe (know) there is a thing called wind? If your answer is yes then how do you know? Can you see it? No, you can see the effects of it such as the leaves blowing on a tree or the feel of it on your skin. Then How do you know for sure there really is a thing called wind?
As you get ready to sit in your chair after getting up to get a drink, do you know that the chair will hold you if you sit down. Maybe, maybe not, after sitting in the chair hundreds of times maybe this time the chair will collapse, but you sit anyway.
In both of these analogies, the answer is Faith you have faith that what you have been told your entire life that wind is actually there even though you can't see it, but you can feel it, and faith that the chair will hold you up no matter how many times that you sit in it.
That is the same with me, No I have never seen God, but I have felt Him just like the wind on my face.

Look at your hands, feet and details in your face. Listen to the voice that still tells you in your heart that God is and always will be. Listen to the conscience that He has given you everything you start to do something you know is wrong. The best evidence will be found by you asking yourself, how could I be a total accident, how could all of these intricate details of my body just have somehow evolved into working parts. How could I possibly have the faith to believe I am an accident.

The constant stream of questions from you hasn't stopped since about 2pm Friday. Get a life man.

Also, can I point out - absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence. Find some proof that debunks something then you've got a case.

well, i posted a question, "for those seeking proof", but i think the end result was that most people still thought proof was elusive. on the other hand, we cannot either prove He doesn't exist. wouldn't we like to know for sure? it seems more open minded to seek to answer this question, than ignore the possibility.

What is the point of your question? It sounds like you are an atheist but if you were secure in your beliefs, you wouldn't be asking would you? Strange. Maybe you should examine your subconscious. Maybe you're just hungry for a debate? Weird.
