God maybe... Zeus was one helluva jealous sonofabitch.

Then again. "thou shalt have no other gods before me" yeah God is a jealous sonofabitch too.

Some say that God is a jealous God and the bible says that too, but the word comes from the Hebrew word qannah, which means possessing sensitive and deep feelings. God does have sensitive and deep feelings but is not covetous or envious which are some of the meanings of the word jealous. God does not want us to be covetous or envious of others and that is the traditional meaning for jealousy. As for Zeus he is a fictional character from mythology and since he is not real he cannot be for or against anything.

The God of the Judeo-Christian tradition may teach against jealousy (with one exception - God is jealous of his followers worshiping other "gods") the Greek God's were full of jealousy.
