It is an electronic project , i want the "gate" feels the last state , if it was 0 then the output would be 1 , of it was 1 then the output would be 0 , it is something like T flip flops , but i don't know how to make it work , advice please.

You can do it with a flip-flop -- basically, a count to two circuit. You can wire a JK flipflop (SN7473) or D flipflop (SN74740 to do what you want. I like to have the trigger for the flip-flop generated by a latch; the key has a transfer contact, which sets the latdch when the key is pressed, and clears the latch when the key is opened. This insures that there is no contact bounce which would trigger the flipflop erroneously.
